Covington Street Hockey League: Yearly Summary and Thank You
Dear Bubs,
As the Board of the Covington Street Hockey League (CSHL), it's with great enthusiasm that we present our yearly summary. It's been an incredible journey filled with slapshots, laughter, and community spirit. We couldn't have accomplished so much without your unwavering support, dedication, and passion for street hockey, each other, and the community.
The CSHL was founded in 2018 with the aim to promote street hockey, improve our community, and foster camaraderie among players of all ages and skill levels. We've partnered with the Center for Great Neighborhoods for non-profit status and joined forces with the City of Covington to build the Kyle Wheeler Memorial Rink at Barb Cook Park in 2021.
Through your generous donations, sponsorships, and support we've raised over $150,000 in funds and assets. This has allowed us to host exciting events (including our first-ever BubsFEST and Prom), contribute to charities, and establish partnerships with local, national, and international organizations. We’ve also been able to donate over 10,000 toys to the Be Concerned Foundation, purchase $4000 worth of equipment for kids, and celebrate 5 years in style.
Looking forward, we have set ambitious goals for our League, including building a roof and resurfacing the rink, increasing our leadership and committee members, hosting regular kid's events, and maintaining over 1000 hours of volunteer work.
Our success is due to the vibrant community of players, volunteers, sponsors, and donors who have rallied around the CSHL. Together, we've built a tight-knit, yet inclusive, league that has helped forge new friendships, improve fitness and mental well-being, and make a positive impact on the local community.
As we celebrate our achievements, we remain committed to enhancing the CSHL experience for everyone involved. Your continued support will help fund essential equipment, league-sponsored events, scholarships for players in need of financial assistance, and community outreach programs.

Once again, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your support and commitment to the CSHL. Together, we're building a stronger, healthier, and happier Covington community through the power of street hockey and shared vision.
Sincerely,
The Covington Street Hockey League Board Members
